Project Silver Lining 2.0 unites artists, mind-body educators, and activists to equip teens with tools to be the change they want to see in their world.

		<description>PROJECT SILVER LINING 2.0








	ABOUT US
	Project Silver Lining is a multi-disciplinary program developed by Barnsdall Arts that integrates visual art making and mindfulness practices to engage youth in creative personal inquiry. Its mission is to promote innovative grassroots arts programming that reaches youth in schools, community settings, and online. 
	
	
PSL workshops are led by professional teaching artists and mindfulness educators who share a strong commitment to youth development. Through project-based, hands-on learning, participants access their own voices, transform their attitudes and envision their futures. In our world of Covid-19 and political upheaval, PSL offers youth lifelong tools for individual wellbeing and for agency in social engagement and community building.
PSL got its start in 2003 when Barnsdall Arts and the Los Angeles Housing Authority partnered together at the Ramona Gardens Housing Project. Building on this success, PSL expanded its multi-disciplinary programming to schools across Los Angeles, including Rockdale Elementary School, Atwater Avenue E.S., Highland Park Continuation High School, Humanitas Academy of Art and Technology at Esteban E. Torres H.S., Los Angeles High School of the Arts, Oscar de la Hoya Amino Charter H.S., Sotomayor High School for Arts and Sciences, and Mayberry Street E.S. 
It has become a powerful model for fostering student growth and transformation through the arts and mind-body practices.
